Yahoo! News - Senate Votes to Block New Overtime Rules
Interesting news on the overtime front; seems that the senate voted to block some changes to overtime rules, which, if I'm thinking of the same bill, was to change the rules on who was exempt and who was not exempt. One item of note:
The voting was largely along party lines, although six Republicans voted to block the Labor Department from proceeding and one Democrat, Sen. Zell Miller ... of Georgia, sided with the administration.
Zell Miller is not a Democrat; trust me on this. His voting record reads more like a love letter to the administration than anything helpful to anyone who's actually not a business person. Check out his voting record using Project Vote Smart, an excellent resource to find out facts about any politician.
